Reynolds and Fisher linked by death


Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher were separated in life by so many differences, both personal and generational.
They famously did not speak for the best part of a decade.
But the mother and daughter are now likely drawn closer in the public memory after their deaths on successive days.
Reynolds died on Wednesday at age 84, just as she and the rest of the world were starting to mourn her daughter.

DEBBIE Reynolds foreshadowed her own death just hours before a stroke claimed her life, revealing her desire to be reunited with her daughter.
Reynolds died today aged 84, just a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher’s death.
“She’s now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken,” Reynolds’ son Todd Fisher said from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where his mother was taken by ambulance.
He said the stress of his sister’s death on Tuesday “was too much” for Reynolds.
