Sir Donald Friell McLeod KCSI CB (6 May 1810 – 28 November 1872) was a Lieutenant Governor of British Punjab (in office: 10 January 1865 – 1 June 1870). McLeod Ganj (also spelt McLeodGanj or Mcleodganj) is a suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is known as "Little Lhasa" or "Dhasa" (a short form of Dharamshala used mainly by Tibetans) because of its large population of Tibetans.[1] The Tibetan government-in-exile is headquartered in McLeod Ganj.
